Pros And Cons Of The Washing Machine

Washing machines have become the most popular mechanical device throughout all modern times. “For thousands of years, one of the most tiresome household tasks was the washing of clothes and lines” (Field Enterprises Educational Corporation 45 ). Washing machines are greatly needed in everyday life. Much labor and has been relieved due to the wonderful invention of the washing machine. The washing machine is also a major time saver. Washing machines have developed proficiently throughout all the years and are still developing day by day. From the wash board to the electric washing machine, laundry has truly been transformed in America, as a result, cleaning laundry is nearly effortless.
Long ago, washing clothes was done through the process of rubbing sand on clothes, or by smashing the article of clothing with hard rocks. Also, by dipping clothing in water which removed excess dirt. Another way to get clothes clean long ago was, boats used to carry clothes in bags and dragged the bags in the water to clean the clothes or whatever else was in the bag. Many tried to think of simpler ways to wash clothes, but there was no troubled principle to get clothes clean. For using water to remove dirt was the base principle. Some of the first washing machines were hand operated and were wash boards. Then, in 1858 was when mechanical washing machines became introduced. This was a big step, for soon people around the world would try to keep improving this marvelous invention. Shortly after, Alva Fisher was said to have made the worlds first electric washing machine around 1907. “It was not until the modern washing machine was invented that women were freed from this hard work” ( Field Enterprises Educational Corporation 45 ). However, many are still unsure who really invented and improved the marvelous washing machine. Ever since the electric washing machine, washing machines have improved greatly and the need for washing machines has grown tremendously. Washing machines have a bright future with the ideas of making washing machines so compact to fit on a wall in a small cube, clean clothes quicker than ever, and even cheaper.
Firstly, a great amenity of the washing machine is convenience. Many have all felt the burden of laundry over many past years. Fortunately, since the washing machine, many people have been able to have more free time to spend with their loved ones. The washing machine also saves long trips to the laundry mat and the laundry cleaners. No effort is really needed with the convenience of an at home washing machine. The increasing technology of the world has now developed the washing machine even further, allowing those who purchase a certain machine to control the washing machine from anywhere with a mobile phone. Starting, stopping, and changing the cycle are all available when on the go. Washing machines continue to help everyone with the growing development. Some washing machines even steam the clothes just like the dry cleaners....
